More than just a research facility; it’s a unique team of materials scientists and engineers working side by side. We aim to turn the latest research into products at breakthrough speed.

Our Achievements
In the last year alone, our lab has delivered game-changing results. The reaction speed for loading and releasing hydrogen is already operating at a rate 300-400% faster than the ambitious targets agreed for our pilot plant.
At the same time, we have developed Hydrilyte HD, a more concentrated version of our technology with a volumetric density 12% higher than liquid hydrogen. This breakthrough was achieved while maintaining Hydrilyte’s signature safety and ambient storage properties—a fact our Research Scientist, Adriana, can demonstrate simply by holding the high density material in her ungloved hand.
The Future
We are currently working towards a number of key breakthroughs. One key initiative currently aims to reduce the temperature needed to release the hydrogen by 40%, a change that will further slash operational costs and boost round-trip efficiency.
At the same time, we are advancing a new process targeting an incredible volumetric density of 150kg of hydrogen per cubic metre. This project also aims to almost entirely eliminate the energy input required to release the hydrogen at its destination—a combination that will be totally game-changing for the future of hydrogen transport at all scales.
