Mark Rheinlander

FOUNDER, Director & CEO

As CEO Mark is responsible for capital raising, strategy, process & systems, marketing, business development and techno-economics. As Chief Innovation Officer Mark is responsible for the Hydrilyte® Product, technology innovation and technology strategy. Mark is an expert on hydrogen storage and a technology entrepreneur. Mark's experience covers all aspects of bringing a deep technology product to market and a new company to profitability.

Willy Lund

Founder & Principal engineer

Willy is responsible for the Conceptual Design of the Hydrilyte® Hydrogen Storage System and for the Hydrilyte® Technology Pilot. Willy is a Chemical Engineer with more than 44 years experience across the oil and gas, LNG, refining and petrochemicals industries. Willy is an expert in process design, process control, process simulation, dynamic modelling and simulation and engineering studies.

Lucas Pickering

Chief Engineer

Lucas is responsible for project management of the Hydrilyte® Technology Pilot and future scale-up of Hydrilyte® hydrogen storage systems.  Lucas is a chemical engineer with a strong technical, safety and operations background in oil refining and has subsequently moved into renewable energy technology development.  Lucas is experienced in the design, construction and operations of pilot plants and large scale plants.

Peter Hillier

Product lead - Hydrilyte

Peter is responsible for Hydrilyte® supply chains, production and delivery. He is also responsible for the techno-economic analysis of Hydrilyte® use-cases.

Peter has a background in mining processing and research, and oil and gas. He has worked in both design and operations, and is an expert in early operations troubleshooting and system de-bottlenecking. Peter also brings Python expertise to the team.

Jason Crusan

Carbon280 Director & VP New Energy solutions, Woodside energy

Jason leads Woodside’s New Energy Solutions group. Prior to this role, Jason was Director of NASA’s Advanced Exploration Systems Division. With a background in physics, electrical engineering and computer science, Jason brings great technical depth and commercial experience to the Carbon280 Board.

Shirvine Zhang

carbon280 Director & Head of Hydrogen and Hybrid Energy, Hive Energy

Shirvine is the global lead for Hive Energy’s green hydrogen, ammonia and hybrid energy, development and delivery. She was previously a partner at KPMG. With a background in accounting and finance, Shirvine brings financial depth and hands-on hydrogen project experience to the Carbon280 Board.

Woodside Energy is a global energy company founded in Australia. Its New Energy Solutions group is progressing a range of ammonia and hydrogen projects, internationally.
